Unterkunft: Louhimo is a modern rental cabin near the center of Mikkeli by the lake Saimaa. The cabin is located on a large plot protected by trees, on the site of an old stone mine. Due to the operation of the mine, the plot has two ponds, high rocks and large differences in height. You can drive to the center of Mikkeli in five minutes, and it's also easy to get there by bike. 4 km to the southeast from Mikkeli, lake Saimaa 40 m, height difference to the shore 12 m, pier, and rowing boat, deep gravel/stone bottom. Skiing and snowboarding in winter can be done from the Tornimäki skiing center, which is only 3 km away. You can enjoy boating with the cabin's rowing boat.
